Day 1: Dublin, Ireland

Welcome to Dublin! This afternoon meet your tour director and travelling companions for an afternoon orientation drive through statue lined O’Connell Street and elegant Georgian squares to St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Trinity College. End the day with an optional dinner evening at the Guinness Storehouse

Day 2: Dublin — Downpatrick, Northern Ireland — Dublin

On your northbound route today, pass Drogheda, scene of the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, then through the fertile landscape of the Boyne Valley, known for it’s prehistoric passage graves. Cross the border into Northern Ireland, and drive past the Mountains of Mourne to Downpatrick, the burial place of Patrick, Ireland’s Patron Saint, and on to the vibrant city of Belfast, where Titanic was built. Later, why not join a local guide on a “living history” tour, including a visit to the fascinating Titanic Experience?

Day 3: Belfast — Giant’s Causeway — Derry — Donegal, Ireland — Drumcliff — Sligo

First stop this morning is awe-inspiring Giants Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, let the province’s story unfold as you head for the city of Derry before returning to the Republic to visit Donegal, the ancient town founded by Danish Vikings and home to the O’Donnell Clan. Drive along Donegal Bay with its small fishing ports and hidden beaches, and stop in Drumcliff to see the grave of W.B. Yeats before arriving in Sligo.

Day 4: Sligo — Galway — Cliffs of Moher — Limerick

Travel further south to Galway, a popular seaside destination and a buzzing cosmopolitan centre with colourful hops, and a busy cafe and bar culture. Cross the limestone plateau of The Burren to visit the spectacular 668-foot Cliffs of Moher. Tonight you might like to join an optional medieval banquet.

Day 5: Limerick — Adare — Dingle Peninsula — Killarney

Start your day with a stroll through Adare, a village known for its prize-winning thatched cottages. Then, take in the breathtaking scenery of the Dingle Peninsula, where the 32-mil Slea Head drive affords magnificent vista of the Atlantic Ocean. See the Blasket Islands, and hear about the way of life and unique literary achievements of its inhabitants prior to the evacuation in 1953. The next two nights are spent in the popular resort of Killarney. tonight enjoy the optional outing to Tralee for dinner and a performance at Siamsa Tire, Ireland’s National Folk Theatre.

Day 6: Killarney — Ring of Kerry Excursion

At Killorglin, join the Ring of Kerry for a 100-mile coastal panoramic drive featuring sparkling seascapes, mountains dotted with brightly coloured farmhouses, winding lanes and bordered with subtropical vegetation, and spectacular views of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View. Back in Killarney, a special optional adventure: take a horse-drawn jaunting car along the national park lakeshore for pictures of Ross Castle.

Day 7: Killarney — Blarney — Waterford — Tramore

More scenic splendour as you head over the Kerry Mountains into County Cork. Stop in Blarney, famous for its Stone of Eloquence, with time at your leisure to see the castle and shop for Irish crafts and handmade crystal. After lunch, drive past Cork, the country’s second-largest city on the way to Waterford, where a guided tour of the House of Waterford Crystal is included. Spend the night at the nearby seaside resort of Tramore. Later, consider an optional pub tour.

Day 8: Tramore — Avoca — Dublin

On the last leg of your journey, visit Ireland’s oldest Handweaving Mill at Avoca, and enjoy views of the Wicklow Mountains on your way to Dublin. An optional Irish cabaret evening, including dinner, dance, song, and laughter would be an exciting finale to your holiday

Day 9: Dublin, Ireland

Your tour portion ends today after breaking this morning. Enjoy the rest of your day in Dublin. Dublin is thought to be almost a thousand years old, but the city has transitioned seamlessly into the 21st century. Must-do’s include Trinity College, St. Stephen’s Green Park, Newgrange, Dublin Castle, the National Museum of Ireland and the James Joyce Cultural Centre. No visit to Dublin would be complete without a pint of Guinness on a relaxing afternoon.

Today embark on Celebrity Reflection and get ready to set sail.

Day 10: Glasgow (Greenock), Scotland

Visit Glasgow, the beautiful port city on the River Clyde. Glasgow is famous for its Victorian art, nouveau architecture from the rich legacy leftover from the city’s 18th–20th-century prosperity. Glasgow is a cultural hub, home to the Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet & National Theatre of Scotland. Take time to enjoy this city’s thriving music scene & don’t forget to visit Glasgow’s acclaimed museums.

Day 11-12: At Sea

Your full day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything your ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. Day 13: Akureyri, Iceland

Iceland’s second largest city is home to integral ship ports and fishing centres. Enjoy a bustling nightlife and gourmet food amongst stunning snow-capped mountains and fjords or soak up robust folk culture. Whatever you choose, it will be memorable.

Day 14-15: Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland’s capital and largest city was settled in 877 AD and has grown into an integral seaport and government hub. Even though it is a considerably advanced and progressive destination, it still uses water from nearby geysers to heat all of its buildings.

Day 17: Belfast, Northern Ireland (United Kingdom)

Explore Belfast’s cultural quarters—the Cathedral Quarter, the Gaeltacht Quarter, the Queen’s Quarter and the Titanic Quarter—the former linen and shipbuilding epicentre. Here, where the Titanic was so carefully built, you can see beautifully restored Victorian architecture. Enjoy the true Irish experience at the lively waterfront, which is a friendly hub of live music, overflowing pubs and modern art.

Day 18: Cork (Cobh), Ireland

Ireland’s third largest city is a wonderful walking city built on the River Lee. Visit St. Finn Barre’s Cathedral, a wonderful, triple-spired example of French-gothic architecture, and spend some time in The Old Gaol, where original 19th century cells tell some fascinating tales.

How do I make a booking once I have purchased a Global Escapes voucher?

Customers will need to contact the Global Escapes team. When you contact us to make your booking, we will endeavour to book and confirm all components of your package within 72 hours of receiving your booking details. Should we not be able to confirm any component, we will contact you with an alternative within 72 hours. Can I cancel or make changes to my booking?

Should you need to cancel for any reason once full payment is made, subject to clause 4 in the Terms & Conditions, you will not be entitled to any refund, including any extra purchases. Fees will apply should any amendments be required after booking your voucher (minimum fee of $100 per person). In addition to the amendment fees, any supplier terms and conditions will be applied. Can I purchase travel insurance through Global Escapes?

Yes you can purchase travel insurance. Please call 1300 881 433. The Australian Government advises that all travellers obtain travel insurance prior to travel. The insurance should cover loss of deposit and other monies through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage and loss of money, medical expenses, additional expenses to cover hotel accommodation and repatriation costs to Australia should any services need to be extended or curtailed due to illness or other insurable risks. Our reservations team can provide you with general information about travel insurance at the time of booking. If I want to travel on a particular date but haven’t purchased a Global Escapes voucher, can the booking/room be held for me until I have purchased the voucher?

No. Bookings/rooms cannot be held without voucher purchase.

What is the promotion availability?

Your booking is subject to the availability of the actual rooms provided by the resort for the Global Escapes promotion. This allocation of rooms is well in excess of the rooms required to satisfy the offer, however, not all rooms available at the resort on any given day will be available to guests participating in the promotion offer. Please note that booking available rooms is on a First Come First Served basis.
